Gratiot County Warrant Records Gratiot County Warrant Records

Warrant records are court documents, and this site exists to point a reader toward the office that keeps them. Privacy works in much the same way here. Running a search sends your question to an outside service, not to us. We keep the pages online, learn which ones help, and leave it there. No account is needed to read anything on this site, and no warrant file is stored on it. What follows is a plain description of the information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It is written for a resident of Gratiot County, Michigan, not for a lawyer.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

When you enter a name or a date of birth into a search box on this site, the entry travels straight to the outside provider that runs the search. That company processes the request and sends back the results. Nothing you type is copied to us, and no log of your query is kept on our side.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you email us, we hold on to the message so that we can answer it. It stays inside our own group. We will not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation leaves us no choice.

Data We Gather Automatically

Each time a page on this site loads, our servers pick up a handful of technical details about the visit:

  • The IP address your device is using
  • Which browser you are on and which version it is
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
  • The site that sent you here, when there was one
  • A timestamp for every page view

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies, the small files a website stores on your device. They show us how visitors move through the pages, which ones draw the most traffic, and where people tend to leave. Analytics services roll that activity into aggregate numbers. Your browser settings let you block cookies at any time. If you do, some parts of the site may not behave the same way.

What We Do With This Data

We use the limited data described above for a short list of purposes:

  • Keeping the site online, running, and loading quickly
  • Routing your search request to the correct partner service
  • Learning which pages readers find useful and which ones need work
  • Finding and repairing technical problems
  • Serving ads that may line up with your interests

No Warrant Data on File

This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. Official files belong to the office that created them. The 65B District Court in Ithaca holds District Court case and warrant records for the whole county, the 29th Judicial Circuit Court and the Gratiot County Clerk hold Circuit and family files, and the Gratiot County Sheriff's Office serves process and keeps jail records. Requests for county and law-enforcement records run through Michigan's Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., while court files follow the judiciary's own access rules under MCR 8.119. What we publish is general guidance about where Gratiot County warrant records sit and how to ask for them. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into consumer reports or files about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

The search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Anything you enter into one of those tools is handled under the partner's own privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who else sees it, and we have no control over that. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.

Links to Other Websites

We link out to court pages, county offices, state record systems, legal aid groups, and outside search tools from many pages here. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the other site's privacy policy governs the visit from that point. Read it before you share personal details.

Some advertising partners may follow activity across websites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. A limited amount of information may reach:

  • Search partners that handle the queries you run here
  • Analytics services that track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

We follow standard security practices to protect the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever fully safe, though. We take reasonable steps to keep your information protected, but we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.

Users Under 18

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent data to us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Your Data Rights

Depending on where you live, Michigan law may give you additional rights over your personal data. Michigan's Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., covers records held by state and local agencies; MCL 15.235 sets the response timelines and the fees an agency may charge; and MCL 15.243 lists the records and information an agency may withhold. Those provisions apply to government offices such as the Gratiot County Clerk and the Sheriff's Office, not to a private site like this one. Here, at a minimum, you can:

  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
  • Have us correct information that is wrong
  • Request that we delete your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this privacy policy later on. When we do, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle your information.
